WORSHIP
INTRODUCTION
I am so glad that here is another opportunity once again for us to get to learn something about worship, something that as Christians, we ought to do. In fact, we need to live a life of worship. If you read the Bible from the book of John chapter 4 verse 24 says "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." NIV This is a very powerful verse that gives us the basis of how worship should be done - in spirit and truth! 
If we take a look at John 4:21-23 we see that " Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." NIV
These verses gives us a clue who and where Jews and Samaritans worshiped at that time. And verse 21 indicates that that was just temporarily as there is a time coming where they will no longer worship at either places. Furthermore, verse 23 says that the time is coming and has NOW come when the TRUE worshipers will worship the father in SPIRIT and TRUTH. I get a point that, both Jews and Samaritan worshiped but yet, among them, there were both true and false worshipers and ONLY true worshipers can worship the father in spirit and truth.Verse 23 continues by saying ....they are the kind of worshipers the father seeks!!
It is my prayer that by the end of this lesson, the following 7 questions will have clear answers to help us in our lives as worshipers
- What is worship?
- Who is a true worshiper?
- Why do we worship?
- Where should worship?
- What God wants the most, worship or a worshiper?
- How powerful worship is?
- How do I begin my journey as a truthful worshiper?
