A DEEP SUMMARY(ADS) ON..... PRAISE AND WORSHIP.....(4)

HOW SHOULD WE PRAISE?
We have seen a number of issues on praise, we know the meaning, the importance and even who to praise. Now the question comes, 'How do we do it?' It is important to know this.

There are numerous ways of giving praise to God. What is important is to let the Spirit of God flow in you as you praise since praise is supposed to be from the inside out. I thank God for the bible because we can get several ways through which we can praise God. But remember, the key point is that, praise should flow from inside out. It is very important to live in an attitude of praise toward God.

We can praise God through

  1. Singing (Psalms 63:4-7). There are so many songs that can be song to give praise to God. Regardless of the tempo of the song.
  2. Shouting (Psalms 35:27). We can praise God through shouting for joy and gladness.
  3. Dancing (Psalms 150:4; 149:3). A dance that is inspired by the Holy Spirit can help in giving praise to God.
  4. Laughter (Job 8:21)
  5. Thanksgiving (Psalms 69:30). Giving thanks to God, appreciating what He has done in our lives is one way of Praising God.
  6.  Standing up (1 Chronicles 23:30). We can give praise to God simply by standing up.
  7. Lifting up hands (Psalms 134:2)
  8. Playing musical instruments. Psalms 150 speaks of praising God using different musical instruments. We can Praise God through making music to Him.
The bible says that "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, Praise the Lord" Psalms 150:6.

A DEEP SUMMARY(ADS) ON..... PRAISE AND WORSHIP!!!(3)

                                     PRAISE AND WORSHIP

Peace be with you all!
Today we are going to take a look at at this one important question......... Why do we have to Praise...?
last week we started learning in deep about praise and I categorized this part of the lesson into five parts

  1. Introduction
  2. Why do we have to praise?
  3. How should we praise?
  4. The power of praise
  5. Some bible verses about praise
I thank God for this precious opportunity as we are going to have the answer to this in Jesus' name...!

WHY DO WE HAVE TO PRAISE?
Knowing the reason for anything you do is something very vital. Contributes to the perfection of what you do. And for the sake of praise, we need to know why do we have to praise, this will help us a lot in the praises we offer to God.
I am going to talk about a few reasons that I believe they are the keys that we need to know when we praise.

  • God is worthy of Praise:The Bible says  in Psalms 18:3 "I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to  be praised, so shall I be saved from mine enemies" (KJV)
As Christians, we are to give praise to God. He is worthy. We need to give God what He deserve. There is no other God!

  • As believers, we are commanded to praise: If you read from the book of Isaiah 43:21 "the people whom I formed for myself so that they might declare my praise." (NRSV) It is our obligation to praise God since it is one among the reasons to why God created us.
  • We praise God because He loves us and we Love Him: We read from the book of 1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.(NIV). And also we are supposed to love God. In  Deuteronomy 6:5 the bible says "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."(NIV)  Without accepting the love from God and loving Him back, it is not possible to praise God!
  • We need to praise Him for our victories and even in our adversities: One day my sister told me that, sometimes the reason to why we fail to praise God when we have achieved something is because we think we are the one who did it with our strength and mighty. We forget that God is the one who enables us in everything. Likewise, when we are in trouble, we should praise God as He is the one who can deliver us. We will see more about this when we get to learn about "The Power of Praise". We get a good example from apostle Paul and Silas (Acts 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. (KJV)). They were in position to praise God even though they were in jail.

  • Praise strengthen a believer's faith:  When we praise God, we submit to Him, knowing that in His presence, there is nothing to worry about. We need to believe in God to be in a position to praise Him. Let us take a look at the children of Israel. We read from the book Psalms 106:12 "Then they believed his promises and sang his praise." (NIV)
We are supposed to praise God. I have just discussed a few reasons to why we should Praise God. I believe our faithful teacher, the Holy Spirit will continue teaching us in this area. as for today we end up here. We partly know for now the reason to why we should praise. Next time we are going to see "How Should We Praise!"
God Bless You So Much!!

A DEEP SUMMARY (ADS) ON….. PRAISE AND WORSHIP!!!(2)

                                                          PRAISE AND WORSHIP
SHALOM!
I promised to take you through three main areas in this lesson of PRAISE AND WORSHIP. And these are   Praise, Worship and    Music in praise and worship

                              PRAISE
This week we are going to start exploring more about praise. I have categorized this part of the lesson as follows

  1. Introduction
  2. Why do we have to praise?
  3.  How should we praise?
  4. The power of praise
  5.   Some bible verses about praise

INTRODUCTION
Let us begin with the definition of praise right from the dictionary. Here are few definitions.
  1.   To express a warm approval of or admiration for
  2.     Express respect and gratitude towards a deity (a god or a goddess)
  3.    To glorify (a god or a saint) especially by the attribute of perfection

II.            I can combine the three definitions and say that “Praise is a warm approval, admiration, expression of respect and gratitude, glorifying God by the attribute of perfection” I have used just God because this lesson is about Praising and worshiping the one and only true living God who is worthy!! Praising God is the act of appreciation, recognizing the true value of God, his significance. It is not easy to know the exact greatness of God but we all know for sure that God is beautiful beyond description, above what our minds can comprehend.
Rev 4:8(NIV) says “8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under his wings. Day and night they never stop saying:
"Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord God Almighty,
who was, and is, and is to come."

The four living creatures give glory, and honor and thanks to God.  (Verse 9 says: “Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever…") if i can put one word to describe what these four living creatures are doing, I can say "praise". They are praising God and in verse 8 the bible says that the four living creatures do this day and night and they never stop.
So it means every time is the time to praise God.
We are going to continue with this lesson next week so stay tuned!!

A DEEP SUMMARY(ADS) ON.....PRAISE AND WORSHIP!!!(1)

PRAISE AND WORSHIP

Any Christian has heard about praise and worship to some extent at some point. I believe everyone has something to say about it and there may be different perspectives from different people.

Praise and worship is something that is naturally there in human beings. When God created a man, there is no doubt that He expected us to give praise to him and to worship him alone and that is why his word says, “you shall have no other gods before me” Exodus 20:3. The desire to worship is naturally there in each one of us. No human being can live in a zone free of praising and worshiping. What is important is to know whom to worship and whom to give praise to. If you don’t make this clear in your mind, you will end up worshiping something or somebody other than the one who is worthy of all that.

I urge you to sail with me in this boat as I share with you some biblical perspectives about praise and worship. It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit guides us both so that we get to know what really is in God’s heart concerning Praise and Worship “for no one knows the thought of God except the Spirit of God”   1Corinthians 2:11b (NIV)

I have divided this whole lesson in two major parts:
·.  Worship
·         Praise
Then in the end we are going to discuss about the role of music in Praise and Worship.
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened throughout this lesson. We will keep on exploring more about these two subtopics so keep in touch and stay tuned for the coming session next week.

WHO IS THE SEED OF ABRAHAM????

"Now to Abraham and his seed
were the promises made ..."
Galatians 3:16

God made incredible promises to Abraham and his seed about 4,000 years ago … promises of a land for an everlasting possession, an innumerable family, destruction of their enemies, and blessings on all nations of the earth. Who is the seed of Abraham? The answer should be important to every reader.

The Seed of Abraham is Christ and His elect.

"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ." Galatians 3:16
"For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." Galatians 3:27-29

What about the promise of the land?

"And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom:
the rich man also died, and was buried;" Luke 16:22
"And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee. Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell. And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child." Acts 7:3-5

"By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.... These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city." Hebrews 11:8-16

What about an innumerable family?

"And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth." Revelation 5:9-10
"After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb." Revelation 7:9-10

What about taking their enemies' gate?

"And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18
"But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils." Luke 11:21-22
"For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be
destroyed is death
." I Corinthians 15:25-26
"Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it." Colossians 2:14-15

What about blessings on all the nations of the earth?

"By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for
his name:" Romans 1:5
"But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:" Romans 16:26
"And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed." Galatians 3:8

But what about Jerusalem?

"For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all." Galatians 4:25-26
"For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God." Hebrews 11:10
"But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels," Hebrews 12:22
"For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come." Hebrews 13:14

Are only some Israelites the seed of Abraham?

"Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!" John 1:47
"Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed." Romans 9:6-8
"And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of
God
." Galatians 6:16

Are only some Jews the seed of Abraham?

"They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham." John 8:39
"For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God." Romans 2:28-29
"I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan." Revelation 2:9
"Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee." Revelation 3:9

So Israel is a spiritual nation of elect Jews and Gentiles?

"Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world." Acts 15:14-18
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy." I Peter 2:9-10

But John Hagee supports the nation of Israel?

"Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.... Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth." Titus 1:9-14

But Genesis 12:3 teaches blessings for F-15s to Israel?

"And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Genesis 12:3
"And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed." Galatians 3:8
"Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities." Acts 3:25-26

Is America great for having protected the Jews?

Any greatness of America based on political policy is due to the protection and liberties she provided for the true followers of Jesus Christ, not the antichristian Jews and their Zionist state in Israel. It is blessing and favoring Jesus Christ and His elect and the preaching of the gospel that brings God's blessings on a people, not sending military aid to Israel!

Can doctrine be based on a single letter – seed vs. seeds?

"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as
of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ." Galatians 3:16
"But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine." Matthew 22:31-33
"Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?" Matthew 22:42-45
"Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." John 8:57-58
"Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?" John 10:34-36
"But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?" Galatians 4:9
"In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away." Hebrews 8:13
"Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain." Hebrews 12:26-27

What do modern Bibles do with the Seed of Abraham?

They corrupt and pervert the words of the living God! They change the word "seed" in the Old Testament promises to Abraham to "descendants," "children," or "offspring." This profane corruption of Scripture, altering the Old Testament to contradict Galatians 3:16, does the following:
    1. Denies their Old Testaments to be the words of God!
    2. Replaces salvation by grace with national blessings on a race!
    3. Promotes Jewish fables that Paul had to oppose 2000 years ago!
    4. Causes Americans to support the most antichristian state on earth!
    5. Steals the good news and joyful sound of God's blessings on Gentiles!
    6. Replaces the Lord Jesus Christ with Golda Meir and Menachem Begin!
    7. Relegates the kingdom and churches of Jesus Christ to a pitiful after-thought!

King James Version
  New King James Version

Galatians 3:16

"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ."

Galatians 3:16

"Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Christ."
Galatians 3:27-29

"For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
Galatians 3:27-29

For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
"And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him" (Gen 12:7). "Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, "To your descendants I will give this land." And there he built an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him" (Gen 12:7).
"For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered" (Gen 13:15-16). "All the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered" (Gen 13:15-16).
"And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be" (Gen 15:5). "Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be" (Gen 15:5).
"And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years" (Gen 15:13). "Then He said to Abram: "Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years" (Gen 15:13).
"In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates" (Gen 15:18). "On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying: "To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates—" (Gen 15:18).
"And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised" (Gen 17:8-10). "Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God." And God said to Abraham: "As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised;" (Gen 17:8-10).
"And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him" (Gen 17:19). "And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him" (Gen 17:19).
"And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called" (Gen 21:12). "But God said to Abraham, "Do not let it be displeasing in your sight because of the lad or because of your bondwoman. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac your seed shall be called" (Gen 21:12).
"That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice" (Gen 22:17-18). "blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice" (Gen 22:17-18).
"The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father's house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence" (Gen 24:7). "The LORD God of heaven, who took me from my father's house and from the land of my family, and who spoke to me and swore to me, saying, 'To your descendants I give this land,' He will send His angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there" (Gen 24:7).

All modern Bibles corrupt the promises made to Abraham and his single SEED, which is Jesus Christ! They give the promises to plural physical Jews instead!
